Engagements

You get the work first.

Then you pay. This page is the whole mechanic — what happens after you say yes, how the payment actually fires, and what to do if anything looks wrong. If you have to ask us how to pay, this page has failed.

the order of thingswork → then payment

Every engagement is paid on delivery. We do the work, you receive it, you look at it, and only then does any money move. If we don’t deliver what the offer described, you owe nothing and there is nothing to cancel — no deposit was taken, no card is on file, and nothing recurs.

We don’t hold a payment method. We can’t charge you. The only way money moves is you sending it.

The three steps

  1. You acceptReply to the offer. We confirm the scope and the deadline in writing, in the same thread, before starting. Nothing is ambiguous by the time work begins.
  2. We deliverWithin the window the offer states. You get the artifact itself — the written findings, or the pull requests, depending on which engagement you accepted.
  3. You pay, in USDC on BaseWe send a payment request for the agreed amount. The on-chain settlement is the receipt, and the receipt is the invoice. There is no account to create and nothing to cancel afterwards.

The part that actually takes time

If you have never held USDC on Base, budget for that and not for us. The payment itself takes seconds. Acquiring the USDC for the first time is the slow step, and it is slow for reasons entirely outside this transaction — exchange identity checks, funding a wallet, and a bridge or a withdrawal to Base. The one external party who has completed a payment to us reported exactly this: our side was frictionless, and theirs was several manual compliance and funding steps. We would rather you know that before you say yes than discover it against a deadline.

What you need

  • A wallet that holds USDC on Base (chain id 8453) — any EVM wallet works; there is nothing to install from us
  • Enough USDC for the agreed amount, plus a few cents of ETH on Base for gas
  • Nothing else. No account with us, no API key, no signup, no card

What the receipt is

The settlement is a public, timestamped, on-chain record of a transfer from your address to ours for a stated amount. That record is your invoice — it is verifiable by you, by us, and by your accountant, without any of us having to trust the others’ bookkeeping. If you need a written document referencing it for your own records, ask and we’ll send one; the chain is still the source of truth.

If something looks wrong

recoverycontact@0200project.com

If money left your wallet and you did not get what you paid for, tell us and we will sort it out. That is a failure on our side to fix, not a mistake on yours to explain. Email contact@0200project.com with the address you paid from and roughly when — that is enough for us to find it.

Two specific cases, so you know they are expected rather than alarming: a payment that settles on-chain but doesn’t produce working access is recoverable — the on-chain record is proof, and we reconcile against it. And a payment that appears to hang is worth reporting rather than repeating: do not send a second payment to fix a first one that looks stuck. Ask us first.

Can I pay by card or bank transfer instead?

For smaller engagements, sometimes. For larger ones we can usually arrange it — ask, and we’ll tell you plainly what it involves before you commit to anything. USDC on Base is the default because it settles in seconds and needs no account with us; it is not the only option.

Do you take a deposit?

No. Nothing is due before delivery, on any engagement. That is the whole point of the arrangement — you are never out of pocket for work you haven’t seen.

Is this a subscription?

No. Each engagement is a single agreed amount, paid once. Nothing renews, because there is nothing holding your payment details to renew with.

What if I want to stop partway through?

Say so and we stop. You pay for nothing you haven’t received.
