Terms of Service
Last updated: August 20, 2026
These terms cover the hosted tools 0200project operates. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. By calling the service, you agree to them.
The service
0200project provides paid, metered API tools intended for programmatic use — by AI agents, scripts, and applications. Today that is base-tx-explain, a tool that returns a structured explanation of a Base mainnet transaction. Tools are accessed over MCP; there are no accounts and no API keys.
Pricing and payment
- Each client gets 10 free calls. No signup is required for them.
- After that, calls cost $0.02 each, paid in USDC on Base via the x402 protocol. The payment challenge is embedded in the tool response; a capable client pays and retries on its own.
- Marketplace-hosted deployments are billed through the marketplace at its rates. The marketplace's billing terms apply there.
Acceptable use
Use the service for what it is: a metered API. Specifically:
- Do not attempt to circumvent metering, the free tier, or payment.
- Respect the rate limit of 60 requests per minute per client. Requests beyond it are rejected.
- Do not attack, probe, or otherwise abuse the service or the infrastructure it runs on.
We may block clients that violate these rules.
No warranty, no SLA
The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not offer a service-level agreement, and the status page is informational, not contractual.
What the output is — and is not
- The output describes what a transaction did. It is not financial, investment, or legal advice, and it says nothing about whether a transaction was a good idea.
- Risk flags are evidence-based signals: a flag is only raised when specific evidence was found. They are not guarantees.
- The absence of a flag is not an endorsement of a transaction or a counterparty, and not a safety guarantee.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 0200project's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid for it.
Open source and self-hosting
The software behind the service is open source at github.com/0200project/base-tx-explain. Self-hosting is governed by the repository's license, not by these terms. These terms cover only the hosted service we operate.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
